Can Kratom Be Used Daily?

Developing a Morning Routine and The Power of Habit

How you start, your day is vital to having a productive day. Within each day is the chance to improve. On the micro-scale, a day is one brick of the thousands from our house of life. Each day we get a chance to become who we were meant to be. Having a solid morning routine that we are consistent with betters our chances of achieving our version of success.

In the book Daily Habits, the author writes about the daily habits of the world’s greatest minds. Benjamin Franklin was big on waking up early and going to sleep early. He would wake up at 5, take a cold bath or open all the windows of his home and sit there.

Time Management: Deciding on What activities to Engage In

Depending on your schedule, you have to calculate how much time you have before you have to be at your job. For instance, if you work a traditional 9 to 5 and wake up at 5 and it takes an hour to get work, you would have to be out of the house by 8. Leaving you three hours for yourself. In this article, we will go over 6 ways to start your day.

Here are 6 ways to start your day

  1. Gratitude

  2. Meditation

  3. Walking

  4. Exercise

  5. Reading

  6. Breakfast

Gratitude

The word gratitude comes from the Latin word gratia, meaning grace, graciousness, or gratefulness. Gratitude is a simple way to start your day. Being gracious allows one to be thankful for both material things and things money can’t buy like our families, friends, health, homes, and food. In a study conducted by psychologists, Dr. Robert A. Emmons of the University of California, Davis, and Dr. Michael E. McCullough of the University of Miami, conducted a study where participants were split into three groups. One group wrote about what they were grateful for, the second group wrote about daily irritations or things that had displeased them. The third group just wrote about events that had affected them with no emphasis on positive or negative emotions. After the trial period of 10 weeks, the group who wrote about gratitude were more optimistic and felt better about their lives. They also exercised more and visited their physicians less often.

I use a composition journal that I buy for 50 cents from target, which I use to plan my day. In there, I split one page in half. On one side, I have ten things that I am grateful for, and on the other side, my daily affirmations.

Meditation

Meditation is a great way to start your day. The act of meditating can increase well-being, sharpen your attention, increase resiliency to stress, be compassionate, and even impact our physical health. Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, once said, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve”. Our thoughts precede our words and actions so we should be pretty conscious of what’s going on in our heads.

Walking

Walking is an excellent addition to any morning routine as it helps get the blood flowing and can even be a form of meditation. Dr. Joe Dispenza, author of you are the placebo, and becoming supernatural offers, a few different types of meditations guided meditations, movie meditations, and walking meditations. On our walking meditations we practice walking into our dream life. If you wanted to spend this time learning on your walks, you can learn by listening to podcasts or audiobooks.

Exercise

While walking is also a form of exercise, I am referring to things like running, weightlifting, and yoga. Something that forces you to push past your limits. Starting your day with something difficult makes anything else you have to do that day a lot easier. It doesn’t matter what form of exercise you choose to do. Just do something to get the blood pumping.

Reading

Reading a good book can help us develop our ideas and learn new things about life. I love to read self-help books, philosophy books, basically anything that I am interested in at the moment. People spend a lifetime putting their life’s work into that one book, and we get to absorb it through reading or listening through apps like audible or chirp books.

Breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast (based on your metabolic type). Anytime we touch the topic of nutrition, you will find a million different experts claiming their way works. Some experts argue that having a large breakfast is the best way. Others argue that fasting is the most beneficial for the body. The main thing is that we are eating the right foods for our bodies. As with most things, the best way to find out if you do better on fasting or by eating is to test it out yourself.
